I have been an artist for over 45 years and watercolorist for over 30 but have now changed to Acrylics. Though largely self taught, I studied under Clint Carter and Morten Solberg but now attend a yearly workshop at Kanuga Watermedia Workshops in Hendersonville, North Carolina. My work hand in collections from Georgia to California and has been exhibited in shows and galleries in the Southeast including the Georgia State Capital Building and the United States Congress. I prefer to do works of my own ideas, but do accept some commission work when the client’s desire and my vision seem to be particularly well suited to each other.
My subject matter requires a deep understanding of the life of the North American Native Peoples but the collage work will also depict a lot of Americana-primarily the first half of the 20th century. I live with my husband and various pets in the mountains outside of Blairsville, Georgia.
